Sean Murgatroyd is a Photographer and Darkroom Printer currently based in the Lake District, UK. He works as a farm labourer alongside his photographic practice.
His photographic practice utilises traditionalist aesthetic and sensibilities to explore the relationship between person and space. Murgatroyd's previous projects have explored the traces of loss on the landscape and his own relationship with the domestic. He is currently developing work on the mythology of dignified labour under neoliberal capitalism.
